In English we continued to write our draft narratives. In Maths we are exploring 'Money'. To assist your child with activities we are focussing on the ability to quickly add up coin values - so we start with adding in 10s then in 5s. When you reach 100, encourage the use of monetary language such as $1 (instead of 100 cents). Going through these concepts repeatedly with your child will greatly assist them with the learning activities in the classroom. Also, try emptying your wallets out and encouraging your child to count your money (just make sure it's all returned!!!).
Thisafternoon the students had Science with Mrs Suhr.
