Monday 15th August

What we did today:

In English the students started writing the final copies of their narratives after Mrs Suhr edited them over the weekend. So many of the children have done a great job.

In Maths we are working with concepts relating to money. The children in general are struggling to get their head around the idea of getting change. We therefore spent two Maths lessons working with them on this before we move on. Any opportunity you get to have your child to calculate change will be very beneficial to them. Ie "I have $1.50 and my ice-cream costs 85c, how much change will I get?".

The children then had HPE, Library and Chinese. Don't forget the character parade for Book Week on Friday.

2S Superstar of the Day Award: Flynn

Flynn has worked solidly all day today and hasn't been distracted at all. Well done Flynn for working so hard and for displaying beautiful manners.

Have a great evening,

Katie Watson
