What we did today:
In English we are looking at descriptive writing for the next two weeks. Therefore we studied nouns, pronouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs in our lesson today.
We caught up on Friday's afternoon session today, and all of the children did a great job. The students who were away sick a few weeks ago sat their Shape and Line test today. They will finish the test off this week. The remainder of the class reviewed money concepts in preparation for their test on Thursday.
The children had a busy day going to Chinese, HPE and Library. Could you kindly remind your child to bring (and use) their library bags as some books got wet today as they were not protected in their library bags. These books may have to be written off which is a shame.
Our Year 5 buddies in 5G kindly shared their cake with us thisafternoon as they won the best door prize from Book Week last Friday. 2S were very excited to be sharing the cake!!!!
Homework: I have sent all the homework home today as well as the readers. Please keep an eye out for a loose Maths sheet as this is part of the homework grid this week. The children have been told to glue their sheets into their homework books.
Big thanks also to all the Mums who help out with groups, readers, Art, and other jobs in the classroom. It is much appreciated.
2S Superstar of the Day Award: Keeley
Keeley works consistently hard at everything she does. She is always particularly helpful in class and shows respect to her peers whilst they are trying to learn by not talking during lesson time. Well done Keeley - well deserved!
Enjoy your afternoon,
Katie Watson
