Tuesday 9th August

What we did today:

In English today we continued with our draft narratives. The children are encouraged to work thoroughly rather than quickly through this activity. In Phonics Games I highlighted some common spelling mistakes that were coming through on the student's drafts and we worked on finger phonemes, sounds, blends and other spelling words that they need to remember such as 'said'.

In Maths today we continued with our concept test for those who were here for the majority of last week and also our line of symmetry lessons. The other students were taken aside by Glenys Baker and were introduced to missed concepts.

The students had Music, HPE and we also had a listening/viewing activity which is aimed at strengthening children's comprehension skills.

Reminder:

We have worship tomorrow. If your child is saying a prayer, could you please practise this to boost their confidence level. Worship commences at 12:20pm in the IGC.

2S Superstar of the Day Award: Cooper

Cooper has worked quietly and conscientiously today. Cooper has completed all of the set activities today in an independent manner. Well done Cooper for displaying beautiful manners to your teachers and peers all day as well. Congratulations!
